2009-05-04 God loves Israel.
That small nation is at the center of the world because it is "The Apple of God's Eye". God loves the Jewish people. And He wants us to pray for Israel. Here's some information from Maoz Isreal's newsletter regarding Israel... April 22-28, 2009 ISRAEL CELEBRATES 61 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCEThis morning the entire country pauses and stands still in a chilling moment of silence as the sirens sound for two short minutes to remember them and thank them for their service and sacrifice. In the evening the sorrow will turn to joy, erupting in celebration with fellowship, singing, dancing, lots of food and fireworks across the land - a celebration of life.Sixty-one years ago, rising from the ashes of World War II, a nation was born in a day. The world, facing the consequences of silence and lack of action against a monster, decided it was time to give back to the Jewish people a place they called home for thousands of years - a place they dreamt about returning to for generations, hoping against hope... to return to Zion with joy and singing. The words of Psalm 126 became a reality to those who survived - "When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream..." And today, 61 years later we still dream! Rubinstein contends, %u201CThere is also an Israeli humanitarian crisis, and alongside the siege of Gaza, there is also a siege of Israel. A large chunk of this tiny country is exposed to brutal shelling from Gaza and the psychological effects of this exposure are felt by every Israeli. %u201CTrue, Gaza is smaller than Israel, but Gaza has a border with Egypt - not merely an Arab state, but the self proclaimed mother of all Arabs and a staunch defender of Palestinian causes. Very worrying to Israel is the fact that the young generation of American Jews who are educated in the very anti-Semitic atmosphere of U.S. liberal universities (and that also goes for students in the U.K. and Europe) have themselves become part of the intellectual anti-Israel community. For example, the J Street organization, an American Jewish political arm of a pro-peace movement among young American Jews, claims to be pro-Israeli. But its literature and media sound like al Jazeera, the foremost Arab network. J Street regularly lambasts Israel and, not surprisingly, the Christians that stand with her! With even American Jewry beginning to turn its back on Israel, and a new president of the U.S. ready to drive Israel into dividing up its land, it is the evangelical Christians who will be the only friends left on whom Israel can truly depend. The world is not a friendly neighborhood for the Jewish state. One day, the people of Israel will look to their only Hope, the Hope of Israel. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. Blessings! people to join me in praying on May 10th... I am highlighting some nations that I want to pray for, and I ask that you pray for them too, in united prayer with me. Today, in this blog I want to look at Mexico. There are 107.8 million people in Mexico. The average income is $8340 per year. The President of Mexico is Felipe Calderon. Mexico is known for it's high crime rate, kidnappings, and poverty. We must pray for President Felipe Calderon, not only for wisdom to rule the country in a godly manner, but also that if he doesn't know Christ as his Lord and Savior, that he would come to a revelation of Christ Jesus. Please pray with me for Mexico: "Lord, I'm asking for Mexico, to know Christ. I'm asking for the whole nations to come to a revelation of Christ and that the eyes of those who are in darkness may be enlightened that they may see and know Jesus as the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. Lord, I'm asking for those in the government that they would make godly decisions and base their decisions on your Word. May those involved in media come to a revelation of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. May these different forms of media be used to spread God's word and other Christian medias in Mexico be raised up to win souls. (We pray for these media: list taken from www.BBC.com) The press
I pray that the Church, which is Your Body, would go forth in their authority and in the Holy Spirit power that You have given them and be the SALT and LIGHT in Mexico. May the people of Mexico see those who are real Born-again Christians and say "I want what they have!" Lord, may Mexico know YOU! We ask Heavenly Father that the LIGHT of the GLORIOUS GOSPEL would shine into Mexico. Bring LIGHT into the darkness. We believe and receive Mexico saved and delivered from the hand of the oppressor and brought into the liberty and light of God's kingdom. Lord, we believe for millions of souls to be saved as we ask for Mexico to be saved and we believe and receive it done in Jesus Name! Amen God bless! Minnesota to Phoenix, I spent the time praying. As the Administrative Director of Vision Heaven TV USA, I felt a burden to pray for the effectiveness of the station to reach people. There's are a lot of challenges starting a new Christian TV channel, and I wanted it to be effective for the Kingdom of God. I was going through my list of prayers and asking the Lord "What can I do?" It was then that I felt impressed with the Scripture that Jesus said, "My House shall be called a House of Prayer". Isaiah 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. Matthew 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. So, then the idea came to me of getting together Pastors, Churches, Ministries and Individuals from all over the world to pray a UNITED PRAYER FOR THE NATIONS. I felt the Lord saying to me that "Everything has to be accomplished in prayer first, before it can manifest in the natural world." Prayer is powerful and God set it up in the earth that we as His people must "Pray" and "Ask" for what we want. It's His system to work in the earth. I don't understand it all, but what I do understand is that it is NOT my job to MAKE things happen... but it is my job to Pray and Believe for Him to make things happen! Her head and reasoning said, "You are crazy", but she has held onto that and then the opportunity to be involved with Vision Heaven TV opened up. Then in 2008, the Lord gave Linda a dream regarding the nations of the world and the need for prayer and intercession to save them.
